Not big on the fish bladder!!!!!

Lately I have started liking basic things.  You know, meals when you can pronounce what is in them and have less ingredient.

Kevin nice video work as always! Put a link here as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUM_7GxcCdQ&feature=youtu.be

Hmmm....Lesa made you stop to look at the Pacific Seacraft 31 for sale huh? Know you tried very hard to convince her otherwise....wink, wink. Gotta warn you the desire for one never left us over the 25 years we did not sail. They had just come out with the 31 as we were giving up sailing. They are a stand out design from William Crealock and marine interior designer Joseph Artese and we could only dream of having one then and still pinch ourselves that we have Interlude now. She is also our home down there.  The link to the original brochure is below:

Sorry if it's my fault, it is the most friends can do!

Hrm....Watched the video.  Black Swan is owned by some infamous sailors that show up on Facebook a lot.  John Sparrow and Lizzy Swan.  They have three boats.  Those guys log some serious miles.

It is fun to look at boats, even when you can't afford them!  LOL.

Well the folks at Merrior let in at least two of us since the gathering so guess all is well there, Pedro and Becky were brave and returned. Their hospitality at the after party was wonderful, with the exception of giving Susan a tour of your Ranger Tug. You know what happens getting Susan around boats. You guys are great!

Kevin's video provided us all a reminder that much fun was had and yes Lesa you were driving five and a half hours for lunch! It appears after you stopping at DVYC that there may be even more expense some day as a fall out from this, though Scotland by sea....could be a plan. Hear that Lesa, you could still get that trip because of a boat someday! They sure are beautiful aren't they?

Bob may have escaped being deported for now by Linda, but I am meeting the owner of the Flicka at a sock burning party he invited me to in a couple weeks and I am sure that his plans for the Flicka will be discussed. Might wanna get those emigration plans ready Bob! You could join Kevin and Lesa, after they get their PSC31, along with your friend Flicka, and sail to Scotland for that stout, the Jersey Armada.

Tim and Vicki will clearly need to install defensive measures on their wonderful lighthouse and dock structure at SML as more than a couple of us have contemplated a siege by sea! Even though i was kidding Tim about bringing rum from their trip, they did and it was greatly appreciated! We are not all that far from each other and should find some excuses to get together.

So Heave, it would not have been a CBMWG without ya and it was way cool I had a chance to sit next to and talk with Jackie. Let all here know this: "I like sailing and boats" This was a direct quote, maybe influenced by some ETOH, but I heard it! You guys will have to come back down sometime when you can spend a couple days and let's get her aboard some boats! Oh since you mentioned her, I have been out on Black Swan and raised her pirate emblem. Know you would approve of that! Meanwhile Tangier Island still is right were we left it i presume.

Wayne and Phylis didn't look too shocked after meeting us and it is clearly a character flaw they have when they mentioned doing this again! Was so great to meet you both and Wayne let's do get together this season and take our girls out, maybe we will even bring Phylis and Susan.

and to Dave who could not make it.....a glass was tipped, and an invitation stands. Our girls were hatched oh so close together, we need to introduce them to each other.

Finally a nod to the best wife a man could ever hope for, Susan has steadfastly supported my dreams and made them hers as well. After 37 years we have helped each other realize many of each others dreams, oh and we still ponder the "till death do us part" clause! Keeps me on my toes.  :)

Thanks again all for the camaraderie. Well I guess it will soon be sailing season, and there are already suggestions tenured about CBMSG 2.0.........just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water!

Yeah...I about fell out of the chair when my wife said that quote.  Being that I have had Saga for 3 seasons now and she has yet to set foot on her, I think that ship has sailed.  She considered my Catalina 30 roughing it!  I was always amazed when she said that because it had everything but AC.  Now I am reduced to no standing headroom, no separate head, a cockpit shower that is cold water only, and very little space inside the cabin.

I do hope that she will eventually try it again when is older and maybe she will like it.  She would have to let go of some prejudices about it.  The other odd part is that I was very careful in introducing her to sailing and cruising because I made sure I didn't take her on any rough passages etc.

It was a good gathering.  You are definitely keeping your boat in a nice area.

Heave, I am not sure what i could say or advise as everyone's situation is very different. i do know what is the true for anything that has sprouted that I wish to nurture and grow, is that it is given special care and space until it is firmly rooted and ready to take the weather. Looks like something sprouted! :)

A Compac 23 may not be the size you hope for some day, but they are "incredible little boats" and cost a bunch less than larger craft. We went without a boat for 25 years, you're one boat ahead of where we were! Meanwhile enjoy this ridiculous weather as it appears spring has sprung. (at least for now).

1. Keep me posted about this Flicka. I'm semi determined to own one at some point in my life but do not mention this to Koinoina
2. Does Jackie have any older sisters???

Yes...One older sister that is 42.

Rick, there are good points to the 23.  I am going to be in her for a while and I plan to enjoy her.  I do miss a few of the creature comforts that I was use to on the Spirit of Liberty.

Hmm...42 is kinda young. Is she married?  Bam!!! Ouch, Linda. I was only joking!! Geez!!
I describe the Compac 23 as a small big boat or a big small boat. For me it would work for solo cruising or with someone with whom you are very good friends.

Ok Bob I was trying to not respond but jus gotta! Keeping you posted about your friend Flicka will certainly be the case, and it is not a question! Does Jackie have an older sister? Oh the fickle nature of solo sailors, as you have already lost interest in Sister Merry Blond!

I agree about the big small boat or small big boat assessment. It was this quality that makes them a great 4-2-1 boat that also was why No Mas was both too small and too large for us. When something is both too large and too small ya need two things to replace it, thus Interlude and Mas. Same thing will happen to you both of you guys if one become two for crew,  jus sayin!

Whew...One becomes two etc.  LOL  I was thinking that a tear was about to shed from Mas' eye when he was talking about that.

We shall see what Saga gets herself into this season!  It looks like the season will be hear faster than normal.
