1986 Compac 23
« on: November 07, 2017, 12:15:17 PM »
A safe and comfortable coastal cruiser, conservatively rigged and solidly built, Resolute sails quite well, and is steady and predictable, as her heavily ballasted NACA shoal keel keeps her on her feet. Although definitely not a lightweight racer, she easily holds her own against comparable trailerable cruisers. The large, comfortable cockpit has a dedicated fuel locker and a substantial bridge deck, while the oiled teak trimmed cabin sleeps and seats four adults …………. and is luxurious for two.
•   Hull, deck & rig in excellent condition, with minimal age/use blemishes
•   Mainsail, 110 & 150 in decent (but not new) condition
•   Low-hour (<50) Yamaha 8hp High Thrust 4-stroke, 25” shaft, power trim and tilt, electric start
•   New Catalina Direct heavy-duty spring-assisted stainless-steel lifting motor mount
•   Retro-fitted with Ida-Sailor rudder and solid bobstay
•   Two deep cockpit lockers
•   Stainless-steel bow pulpit, stern pushpit and boarding ladder
•   Two coats trailerable multi-season ablative bottom paint (2016)- barrier coat, no blisters.
•   New Thetford pump-style port-a-potty
•   Bronze opening ports and large forward hatch.
•   Slide-away galley with larger sink, foot pump, Origo stove, cooler, and lots of stowage
•   Removable cabin table
•   Settee berths re-upholstered in Sunbrella (2016), forward vee-berth cushions original
•   Weems and Plath brass cabin lamp
•   Cockpit-mounted recessed bilge pump
•   Original galvanized Magic Tilt trailer (serviced 2015, used only once to launch since then)
I am going over to the “dark side” (a powerboat) due to advancing age. Boat is in the water on Whidbey Island, Washington, ready for a test sail.  Current photos available oldferdinandj at gmail dot com $7495 OBO.
