"Cockpit" becomes"Crockpit"
« on: June 10, 2010, 10:31:32 PM »
Despite attempts at correction, when I wrote my first post describing my boat, all of the "cockpit" words in my post kept being converted to "crockpit".

Hmmm, sounds like a "crock" to me.

Sounds like a fish tale being cooked up in a crockpot.

Yeah, I was trying to get some of the swear words out in a post and it (the program) understood that all words spelled that way had to be changed. I am a firm believer that this forum should be able to be read by anyone and enjoyed and shared with children as well as adults.  Anyway, anyone who makes vugar remarks may see their remarks changed. If I am off base here you guys need to let me know.

You are absolutely right about that. If I need a dose of vulgarity there's always Sailing Anarchy. Any of you guys ever visit over there? Whoa.

Certainly not off base, but I didn't think we had a problem with that.  Did I miss something?

Its not a major problem, and when it shows up I either make it go away quietly or ask someone to change their post.  Don't want to make an issue bigger than it is. Just wanted you to understand why I was working the program :) Lets get back to sailing!
